Sophia on the road again!

This post is from Kollean, Sarahs mom.....

Ok, so its been a REALLY long time since I've kept up with any of my blogs!  Like years now...

Late June of 2017 I lost Sarah.  She was one of the greatest Chihuahuas and my first ever service dogs.  Its been over a year now, and I still get teary eyed thinking about the last time I held her.  She was my baby girl.  But she was a few months short of 17 years old, near completely blind and going deaf.  She was down to about 3 pounds from her normal robust 5.9, and that last we think she had a stroke.  It wasn't fair to make her suffer, not after all she did for me.

She went peacefully in my arms, I had her cremated, and her ashes rest on my shelf with her feline brother Stupid who raised her, and her old chi friend Rosie who we rescued during the later stages of her life.

Its nearing October, and were heading south for dental again for Sophia.  Sophie will be 7 this October 29.  She has turned out to be an amazing serving dog, but no I will not be changing the name of the blog.

We have made arrangements with Marylou the breeder for our next puppy in 2020, her name will be Sky, and yes, Ill be getting my blue Chihuahua!  She will however be a long hair this time, I wont have a choice.  Casper will be daddy, and he's a longhair, and Selena is going to be mom and she looks like a long fluffy fenex fox!  In blue!  I'll just have to get used to it...

Charlotte my ex-mother-in-law, will have a chihuahua puppy picked out from Marylou, Im picking one out while Im down there.  Same daddy.  And of course Tasha has Phoenix whos about siz months, same daddy Casper.  Emilee and her daughter started it all by asking me who my breeder was a year ago desperate for a chihuahua puppy, Marylou just happened to have a litter, with two boys, Casper daddy of course... So in the end, were all going to have puppies by Casper, just different moms.

So I'm heading out October 1 to Montana, were staying with Megan, the Pappillion Friend, you know, Simon the papi that Sophi told what he could do with himself!  (evil laugh).  She likes Payton though, he's part Chi and a gentleman!  Her dental in Douglas Wyoming is on the 5th of October, we'll be on Montana till the 15th then we fly to Washington where we pick out a Chi puppy for Char.

In washington we'll be staying with April near Spokane, if she doesn't have a new house by then, we'll be house hunting.  Which is always fun.

Sophia is perfection, she has been since we lost Sarah, since before then actually.  She knows what her job is, she knows who she needs to take care of.  She spends 24 hours a day no farther than 6 feet away from me, and even when she goes outside to find a spot, its in and out ad fast as possible, I even have to keep track and remind her "No, your not done, go find another spot" because I know theres more but she wants right back in.....

So thats the update, sorry its been so long... will try to get to my others and update them as well......
